The critics and fans have already spoken or written so much about Zack Snyder’s Justice League. I think it’s no harm to add a few from my side too. The 4-hour long saga is a treat to watch after the horrific experience of watching the theatrical versions of Wonder Woman 84 and Joss Whedon’s Justice League. Zack Snyder brought back his dark style storytelling which is one of the factors for my preference to DC over Marvel with an exception to Marvel’s Daredevil (TV series).

The Batman Vs Superman (Ultimate Edition) was already acceptable to me and now this Snyder cut takes the DC movieverse to a whole lot different level. The ample screen time that each character got is commendable. The introduction to the final member of Justice League, Martian Manhunter (played by Harry Lennix), was a breather. It now completes the league.

I don’t think there’s any need to bring in separate movies for each character but that’s entirely my opinion. But I would also still want to watch DC’s (Snyder’s) treatment of the Martian Manhunter and Flash on the big screen in separate movies.

The alternate timeline was also revealed at the end through Bruce’s dream where Superman has sided with the Darkseid and is hell bound to destroy earth. The beauty of DC verse is that you can enjoy different storylines in alternate timelines. The Dark Multiverse features Joker as one of the allies of Batman to fight against Superman. I think Batman Vs Superman (Ultimate Edition) should get a sequel in The Dark Multiverse to complete the glimpses into a full fledged story.

The only aspect that annoyed me was the slow-motion sequels of the Cyborg but I could fathom because I knew that something more is coming. That’s the biggest advantage of a four-hour long story. There’s always something for everyone.

In this time where pandemic is treated as a science fiction thriller through news and media, it’s not easy to enjoy a web series or a movie. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is overall a good experience. But if you prefer something Indian for the pandemic woes, I would suggest Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side. These are some of the rare gems of Indian television that you shouldn’t miss at all.
