I personally don’t endorse Donald Trump for his presidency as neither I’m in position to nor do I care. And, certainly don’t care who the EU bosses will keep on endorsing. Pandora Papers already revealed much in the public domain about the corruption of Zelensky and much before that we were too aware of the corrupt administration of Ukraine. But, if you keep all the facts aside and start preaching lessons of morality all over social media, it would eventually hurt you in the long run. Now, whether you like it or not, the idea of vilifying Russia and spreading fear across Europe to get in line with the United States seemed lucrative for sometime. The Biden administration too pushed for this older and long-existing narrative of Russophobia from the Cold War era and it worked quite well for them over the last couple of years. But, the recent developments in media to see a divided west might confuse many. So, let us break it down for better understanding.
With the advent of Trump 2.0 and his own greedy policies to make America richer again (not greater), there’s a geopolitical shift to go for a cold war with China. China’s soft power is growing to an extent that it can undermine the USA’s existence in this new era. Trump’s recent shift to include Russia to its allies is a great reminder for the rest of the world to understand that there’s only one country in the world that has land-grabbing intentions and that is not The Russian Federation. Russia has come closer to China and so is the rest of the world due to their dependence. But, if you remove Russia from the discussion and divert attention to the real threat to the US, the US hegemony can be easily restored for a longer period of time. And, that’s what Trump 2.0 is all about.
DeepSeek R1 was only one such eye-opener example for the world to start taking China more seriously. It has taken leaps forward in terms of defying adoption of US electric vehicles and other technological ventures across the globe. It’s not a bad thing to be self-reliant for China and at least we can appreciate that the country has come a long way since its independence in 1949 as compared to India. We kept betting on India for over a decade or so but couldn’t really see any tangible outcome. But, if you have to make mends with it, US will be on the decline. To counter that, Trump 2.0 doesn’t want to waste its resources and hatred towards something that is practically non-existent. Russia appears to be a friendlier choice when it comes to dealing with the hostile China. Frankly, only Donald Trump and his team gets it for now.
The other corrupt bosses sitting in the hideout of European Union doesn’t seem to understand the situation. They have already surrendered to the whims of China. It’s not that I feel sorry for the EU bosses as I am fully aware of their imperialistic past of land-grabbing. But, it seems to be convenient for them to understand and resonate on the same frequency with China even if it comes at the cost of human lives in Ukraine. They have already said it to Ukraine to fight it out till the last standing Ukrainian. It seems inhuman and harsh to me but to many it still appears to be taking a moral high ground. The partial amnesia that today’s world hold seems very disturbing. The media also seems to be conveniently omitting facts and selling disinformation or say partial and biased truth to the world. And, sadly the world seems to have adopted it beautifully.
The short skit that opened for the world to fathom and the subsequent follow-ups done by EU bosses on social media should already be sufficient in exposing their duality. They have played this game well before with Asian and African countries when it mattered to them purporting war economics. Ukraine is just another habit for them. But I feel that the seriousness of this issue for the rest of the world should be fully comprehended. No one country is the permanent villain for the world. But, certainly and similarly, there won’t be another permanent villain too. It is just a means to an end for the economies to function.
As far as Donald Trump is concerned, the idea of restoring white supremacy certainly doesn’t hold Russia accountable for anything. This is convenient because the US and Russia had played this game of polarizing the world for a longer time. The idea to redirect war to a safe place somewhere in the Middle East seems more lucrative and prolonged. There’s already a thriving economy built on this. So Trump 2.0 doesn’t see any benefits in keeping the European front open and help China to get hold of Europe more and more. Before you quickly jump to interpretation, do remember that there are no permanent friends or enemies in geopolitics.
